Pakistani nationals will now be able to get a Qatar visa on arrival for up to 30 days. With this, Pakistan becomes 81st nationality to be included in a Qatari visa-free entry programme announced earlier this month.

According to Qatar Airways, Pakistani nationals with a valid passport and a return or onward ticket will be able to get a Qatari visa on arrival. They can apply for extension in stay beyond 30 days.

For a stay longer than 30 days, a residence permit will be required, reported by Geo, Express Tribune and Dawn.

Earlier on 9 August, Qatar announced a visa-free entry programme for 80 nationalities to stimulate air transport and tourism.
