Good! Pakistan no more among the most corrupt in the world
Latest: Pakistan is less corrupt than last year. This is good news. What’s the bad news?
Pakistan’s ranking in the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) 2014 has improved. It now ranks 29 as opposed to 28 last year and 27 the year before.
Transparency International (TI), which released the report, has expressed the hope that Islamabad will work more vigorously to combat the menace, says Dawn.
Pakistan’s 2014 CPI score is 29 out of 100. Its ranking is 126 among 175 countries as the best.
The country has never achieved this distinction since the first CPI was issued in 1995.
