Pakistan’s largest training provider asks Wali to train its faculty
Pakistan Institute of Management (PIM) is a public-sector enterprise, which has been offering training to public and private sectors for over five decades. The course offerings go in 100’s and training days in 1’000’s. When a new Director took on its reigns in 2012, one of the first things he did was to invite Wali to train their permanent faculty members from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad in a three-day Train The Trainer.
It was such an honour! As PIM has its own version of Train The Trainer, I would have imagined the Director’s decision not without detractors. Glad he went ahead.
During the TTT, we critically evaluated everything PIM did: from course listings, to training modules, to trainer behaviour off- and on-class, to premises, to refreshments. Found out that the PIM faculty sat after the TTT and charted out improvement plans. Hope it was value for money for them and they could benefit.
My best wishes to PIM management and faculty.
